Janninas facts and figures about Mongolia

Mongolians traditonal dish is called BUUZ (dumplings filled with mutton) and we eat it everyday for lunch and dinner and are for sure addicted.

Mongolians mistake us as Russians, which means they think of every Caucasion that comes to Mongolia as Russian. They must feel secluded...

Monglians dress really nice (and the women actually wear sneakers), what a relief coming from Russia.

Goat milktea is really poular here, one can get used to it, I guess.

They produce felt clothes, which keep the body warm, like Jules noticed after buying and wearing a felt jacket. They make crazy looking boots with fur inside, so nice and warm.

Way too many people live in UB, they cant even build as fast as people are moving to this city.

Never seen traffic being worse than in UB, people cross if red or green cause the cars dont stop anyways. Ridiculous traffic jams.

Woman here are beautiful, kids more than cute.

They do "throughtsinging". Its a tradition, its like singing, but they can make two different sounds at the same time with their throught! Impressive!

Mongolians love Dschighis Khan, everything is named after him.

They use ceryllic letters and latin letters. Must be the russian influence, they were also communist til 1990.

So muss weiter. Drück und küss dich! Pass weiter auf dich auf! Britta :)

hahahahaha I had to comment on your sentence about traffic situation in Ulan Bator. It is exactly the same here in Nairobi. Traffic lights are only used to spent some light at night I guess. Because NO ONE is ever paying attention. And when there is rush hour (from 4 pm to 7 pm!) there are cops on every roundabout to manage the huge amount of cars and minibusses. A 10 minutes drive can take 2 hours and things get worse, when it's raining!!!!
